Dear List,
There has been a tremendous amount of bickering, name calling, and ill will on this forum lately. I think the questions people need to be asking themselves are:
1. Why did I get into this field in the first place?
2. Does my level of professional performance commensurate with the obligations and responsibilities entrusted to my care?
What this field requires, is people who are committed to providing the highest level of healthcare possible, in a compassionate, caring and professional manner. Everything else is of little importance. It all goes back to this, you are either part of the problem or you are part of the solution. The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Name calling is not the solution! The solution is to permanently remove the offenders who violate the trust placed in them. This has not been done in our profession! Together we need to get the bad apples out of the barrel no matter what their credentials are. What we need to emphasize is excellence, not sarcasm.
My hope in writing this is to stimulate and foster renewed excitement and enthusiasm for our profession. I truly believe it is a noble one and deserves our personal best. That's about all for now, except I would like to say,
Peace On Earth, and Merry Christmas to All.
Sincerely,
Kim L. Ruhl C.P.O.
