What follows is a public Notice distributed for interested persons by the:

NOTICE
Notice to the Orthotic and Prosthetic Community
Please note that the Orthotic and Prosthetic Board of Examiners in the State
of New Jersey is currently accepting applications to license without
examination individuals as Orthotists, Prosthetists and
Prosthetists-Orthotists as set forth in N.J.S.A. 45:12B-1-12.
The Grandparenting provision, N.J.A.C.13:44H-3.3 provides that *By DECEMBER
14, 2002* a person who has practiced for at least 1,750 hours a year as an
orthotist, prosthetist or prosthetist-orthotist in an established orthotic,
prosthetic or prosthetic-orthotic facility for at least three (3) years prior
to JUNE 17, 2002 may apply for licensure without satisfying the requirements
of N.J.A.C. 13:44H-3.1.
This notice is directed to those individuals that meet the requirements set
forth in N.J.A.C. 13:44H3.3 ONLY.

Additional Note:
There is no State residency requirement for an O, P or O&P License in New
Jersey. Completed applications must be received by the Board of Examiners by
December 14, 2002 to be considered under that portion of the Statute
pertaining to Licensure Without Examination. Other related, 3rd party,
documentation does not have to reach the Board by December 14, 2002, but
should follow your completed application in a timely manner.
