Hello all.
I am currently reviewing treatment of a 10 year old boy who has a 13cm shortening of one leg due to PFFD. He is currently wearing an AFO with an EVA 'foot' attached to the bottom of this, which then inserts into a shoe. This is now too small, and we have been asked to make a similar device. The idea we are floating around the dpeartment at the moment is of another AFO but with a lightweight prosthetic foot underneath, both for cosmetic and safety reasons, as the child is very active. We are presently thinking along the lines of a Springlite II Paediatric foot, but are open to any other suggestions, however we must stress that weight is an important issue.
Thankyou in advance
