Re: Licensure
Text:
I want to thank everyone for responding to my questions and a number of you
suggested that I contact each state that requires a license to practice O&P
which I did.
The questions.....
1. How many complaints have been registered by end users and how many have
been resolved by the licensing board that could not be resolved in any other
manner?
2. How is information getting to the end users that they have this recourse
for complaints in their respective states?
Never did receive a direct answer to the above questions.
From the responses received I would conclude:
Complaints to state license boards from the end user (patients/clients) of
our services is very rare to none.
States do not have the manpower or tools to process complaints.
Complaints that can be addressed by the license boards are limited to if the
individual has a license or not.
