Dear Colleagues,
I have been asked to supply a Prosthetist in South Africa with trans femoral components for a 2 year old child with bilateral PFFD.
The doctor who performed the bilateral amputations is insisting on having the child fitted with prosthetic knees as well.
Is there a knee on the market small enough to cater for a 2 year old child?
The centre knee to ground measurement is only 18cm (7 inches) and we have to fit a knee and foot in that space. The foot is only 10cm (4 inches) in length.
Any suggestions from the audience?
