Dear List,
I need to duplicate a wrist disarticulation socket. The patient is very happy
with the fit of this socket and is looking for another prosthesis using the
same.
In the past I've used the Otto Bock duplicating foam on lower extremity
sockets but this WD socket is very narrow with moderate reliefs at the
styloids causing a larger distal end. I feel the duplicating foam would be
very difficult to remove once set. If not for the larger distal end I might
have attempted poured plaster.
I appreciate your responses, and will post.
