Subject: [OANDP-L] dislocating shoulder
I have a 68 yof Dx massive stroke resulting in left paralysis. Left
shoulder dislocates with gravity. Shoulder can be properly repositioned
without any difficulty. Severe laxticity in supporting tissue. Extreme
pain to the point of tears.
I have fit the patient with Kenny Howard
acromioclavicular support designed for shoulder separation. Have used
this orthosis on several cases with success--but this time no success at
all.
I am not familiar with any other orthosis that could be effective for
this patient--but I am certain someone out there knows just the orthosis
this patient needs.
Please assist me with recommendations. I thank you in advance.
