Have a young male patient interested in obtaining a swim prosthesis that
he can use for recreational purposes such as swimming and water skiing.
Looking for suggestions on design, manufacturers and component
recommendations (foot). He is currently utilizing a suction liner with
pin. Are any of these systems better than others in regards to water
resistance? Should I use the pin or just use a silicone sleeve and non
pin liner? Ideally, I'd love to correspond with someone who actually
uses a prosthesis to water ski and has tried some variations in design.
I'd like to hear what did and did not work. Money is NOT an issue.
Don't we love these types?
Namaste. (through the light (peace, energy) within me, I feel the light
in you)
