Ok, consesus is a single o&p bid constitutes collusion/anti-trust
violations, etc... Knew it seemed too easy...

So back to questions...

Medicare wants to do this to save money, correct?

Do they care WHO provides the service, or just what price they will pay?

Is it possible that they are just looking to establish a cheaper rate of
reimbursement, and will not really dictate WHERE patients will have to go?

Isn't Medicare reverse price-fixing on us?

Lots of dissenting arguments I've read state that the patient will be forced
to go to certain providers for certain products. Is this really the case? As
in, will Company X be awarded the contract for ALL medicare business in
region X?

How many contract regions are proposed?

Who has the document in question? Why have I not seen the language as
written by the gov't on the AOPA website?

Thanks!
