I am working with a female college gymnast (will be a Jr. this year) who
suffered a (R) talus fx with ORIF 3 1/2 yrs ago. Hardware removal 1 yr
later. Plantarflexion, inversion and eversion are normal. Painful limit to
dorsiflexion at 20 degrees. (L) side dorsiflexes to 38 degrees. She is
looking for orthotic alternative to taping, which will allow free
plantarflexion while limiting dorsiflexion. Her hope is to be fit with an
orthosis for training and practice, then tape for competition. Any
suggestions and/or comparable experiences will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
David
