If they do this surgery and remove the piraformis
muscle, I'm going to
have one leg that I can not turn/rotate. Are you aware
of any mechanical
support stuff that assists in the rotation of the leg?
I'm just
wondering what the worst case might be and it seems that
nobody knows.
They are probably going to remove a pie shaped slice and
then join the
muscle back together with 50% less width/thickness. They
might have to
remove the muscle completely. Most of them just cut one
end of the
muscle loose and then the customer is left with no
rotation and the
other muscles have to take over, and it seems that
mostly they do. I
have a significant loss in nerve conductivity to some of
the muscles
that could take over and I am not sure what will happen
if I can not
rotate the leg. Regardless I have to get rid of the
pain, but I'm
wondering if there is some knowledge in your side of the
world about
this.
