In response to AOPA's request for involvement from end users of prostheses,
the ACA recently wrote a strongly worded letter to Sen. Bob Graham (D-Fla.)
voicing its opposition to a Medicare competitive bidding program for
prosthetic services. Graham is one of the driving forces behind efforts in
the Senate to mandate nationwide competitive bidding for orthotic services.
