I have a young boy aged 4 born with femur and tibial deficiency. His stump
is a foot with four toes, ankle joint and 6 centimetres of femur connecting
to the pelvis. Muscles in stump are generally weak, although adductors would
be the strongest.
His present prosthetic prescription is a pelite liner socket into GRP socket
with a conventional limb build onto Otto Bock children's foot. Socket self
suspends over malleoli and patient walks with the aid of a rolator.
The child is doing well but I was wondering does anyone have any suggestions
that would improve socket fit and limb design or a treatment plan for such a
condition
I look forward to receiving any ideas
