I currently have a bilateral congenital AK female who is approx. 8 months pregnant with her first child (she has been a successful independent ambulator). She is looking for any information available on problems and solutions female amputees have during and immediately after pregnancy.
As a practitioner, I have met several patient challenges with weight gain, alignment changes and socket fitting issues.
Any recommendations or advise on a patient or practitioner level would be greatly appreciated. I have been unsuccessful in finding information on this issue.
