Tribar in OH? makes custom corsets. I've had them make a few for me. But
it
does take a long time for them to make them even though they'll tell you it
will be done in two weeks. I can get you the phone number, if you want.

AOS in Alabama can make a custom corset for you .

Gary,
I've used Freeman for many years with good luck. I'm sure other companies
will do the same, such as Camp, Truform. I send them the measurements and
they make the corset for me. I've also sent tracing of the old garment with
measurements and they have also made them. If your patient sees a garment in
say the Freeman catalogue that she likes they will make it to the
measurement you send. I hope this helps.

Truform wil make custom corsets. If she has an old one that fits but just
worn out they will make a new one using it as pattern.
Good luck. Gary Gaither
Contact Camp, Freeman, Truform or Tri-bar. One of them can duplicate an old
corset.
Hi Gary
Freeman and Truform used to make custom corsets. You send them the
measurements, description of what you want, and any special circumstances.
They
make a fitter garment, the seams are unfinished and stays usually not in
place, which you fit to the patient, making any adjustments using pins or
marking, return for them to finish.
I also know of a corseteer in Miami, problem is she doesn't speak or write
English so communication is a problem.
Let me know if Freeman or Truform don't work out and I will get you a
contact
number for the lady in Miami.

Gary,
Why not try a Spinal Tech? Flex-Foam Soft TLSO or LSO? Just a thought.
I'm sure you're going to have a difficult time finding someone for this
lady. Corset making is a lost art.
Steve Fries, CPO
Call and talk to Barb or Theresa at Tribar Orthopedic in Cincinnati, OH.
They can handle it. It would be best if you could trace her old corset and
or take some photos to show the particulars.
Good Luck

I just had this experience about 5 weeks ago.
I got one of the ladies old devices and sent it to Tribar, 1-800-332-2844.
They made it in about 3 weeks, every detail the same, except we did separate
hooks and eyes for extra strength
My patient was 52 arounf the hips.
Call them. I'm sure they could do the same for you.
Mike O'Donnell, C.P.O.
call camp they will manufacture custom corsets, if possible they will
replicate the pre-existing corset if your aunt has an alternate to use.
The turnaround time is approximately 3 months to manufacture
Gary,
I've been pleased with Freeman's custom corsets. I believe Mark is their
custom designer. It usually takes about six weeks but they indeed
fabricate to your specifications. I've either sent a sample with
instructions as to alterations, a tracing with explainations, or looked at
their catalog and requested a custom version with specified changes. I
speak to the designer by phone prior to each custom order and for future
duplications they keep all previous custom made corset patterns on file.

I had a similar patient. I took measurements and a tracing of the old custom
corset. I also put the garment on my copier and copied it in sections and
taped them together, front and back, sent it to Camp in Michigan and it
came out beautiful. They do great customs. Pre-fit it before they finish it.
Gary Yackley CP
If you could send me a sample I'd be happy to try and have one of our
seamstress' duplicate her old garment. Call me @ 800-870-0872 Ed Kaufman c/o

Tribar is who we use for all of our custom corsets. You can take a
comprehensive tracing of the existing corset. Mark every last detail
and identify each component (elastic, hook Velcro, loop Velcro, eyelet,
etc). Tribar will make you an exact replica. I have several patients
that have these unconventional corsets. I save the tracing in my
patient file and simply send the tracing back when patients need a
replacement. Barb at Tribar. If others do not send you the # there, I
can look it up. I'm at home right now.
Namaste.

you should try freeman or maybe even boston brace?
Gary,
I used to use Tribar Orthopedics in Ohio for my custom corsets......they do
a nice job. I am not sure if Camp would custom make a garment but they used
to make the old fashioned type which maybe similar to what your patient is
accustomed to wearing.
Good luck in your search.
