My name is Connie Davis, an international Team Coordinator with
Northwest Medical Teams, a non-profit relief and development agency in
Portland, Oregon.
We arrange volunteer trips ranging from 1-3 weeks to about 20 countries
(Africa, SE and Central Asia, Latin America and Central Asia, E. Europe)
on over 120 teams a year.
Currently we have opportunities for volunteer orthotists and
prosthetists in Uzbekistan through our partnership there.
Volunteers would work in a well-equipped workshop making orthoses and
prostheses for low-income patients whose lives are dramatically helped
by new braces and limbs.
Volunteer raise their own support and Northwest Medical Teams arranges
airfare, lodging, scope of work, and provides orientations.
Please email me at <Email Address Redacted>
or call at 1-800-959-4325 if you would like more information.
Thank you,
