LOOKING for providers in USA, Los Angles & Tampa Florida.
I have a client who will be visiting your area this month (leaving tomorrow). He had polio at 2.5 years, and now wears bilateral steel KAFOs (OttoBock Offset modular joints, & Becker variable flexion knee uprights).
He is keen to see if any advancement is available in types provided in the USA. Please contact me, or the client <Email Address Redacted>
The situation with provision of these devices here is they are funded by the government, and providers have to competitively bid, as a consequence full laminated setups are not generally an option.
I have tried at his request, moulded plastic KAFOs which he found not as positive and refused. The subsequent provision was then at my cost (or the refused ones were at my cost depending on how you look at it) I just mention this so you can be aware of the contraints involved.
