This evening, Friday, June 7th, the PBS series NOW with Bill Moyers will look back on the honor, bravery and patriotism of veterans in celebration of the 58th anniversary of D-Day (June 6).
The show's web site (www.pbs.org/now) will feature the Veterans History Project of the Library of Congress and encourage visitors to participate and contribute oral stories.
The Orthotic and Prosthetic Assistance Fund is one of approximately 250 organizations across America cooperating in the Veterans History Project. OPAF's involvement is specifically designed as a way to connect O&P history to that of our nation during and after wartime. Please visit:

We welcome contributions from the O&P community to grow this project. If you have a resource to suggest, please contact us at <Email Address Redacted>
More about this evening's program: Check you local listings at ( <URL Redacted> more to learn when your PBS station will air this evening episode of NOW, which will bring together four WWII veterans in Texas to talk with Bill Moyers about their memories, their values and their commitment to America.
The last time these veterans got together was 13 years ago on the
battlefields of their youth. That encounter was captured in From
D-Day to the Rhine, a documentary by Award-winning filmmaker David
Grubin and Bill Moyers that originally aired in 1990. From
D-Day to the Rhine followed these four veterans as well as some of
their comrades back to France, from the shores of Normandy, to
the site of the Battle of the Bulge, and to the banks of the Rhine.
Returning to Europe, many for the first time since the war, the men
spoke about their wartime experiences, some of them unlocking memories
they had been keeping inside for nearly 50 years. D-Day
Reunion features excerpts of this historic documentary as well as
current interviews with the veterans, their families, and members of
their community who reflect on the legacy of the greatest
generation.
Thanks very much for your time, your consideration, and your continued support of the Fund.
