Don,
As you know ,I have great respect for ABC credentialing, however I was
curious to know when was the last time a ABC certified was disciplined by
your committee for delivery of improper services, violation of ABC Cannon of
Ethics, fraudulent submission of L-codes for reimbursement, or any other
action that resulted from a formal complaint against an ABC certificate
holder?
Has a ABC certification ever been revoked or suspended?
What form of sanctions can be imposed by your committee in the event the
complaints can be substaintiated.
Does your committee have the ability to impose fines on certified
practitioners or revoke, suspend their credentials?
What teeth does the ABC Professional Discipline Committee have over
certified provider where no certification is required by state or federal
law to provide those services ?
I believe, outside of California and the six licensed presently states, none
of the other 43 states require certification of any form to deliver
comprehensive O&P services.
Personally and not a well kept secret secret, I would like to see the LP, LO
or LPO credentials implemented used more.
Thank you,
Tony Barr
