Mr. Parks,
I'm sorry you felt your were receiving double speak from the Academy regarding obtaining proof of your attending one of our meetings. Please allow me to explain what we're able to do for you.
We routinely provide BOC orthotists (and others who attend, such as CPeds) with documentation that they attended one of our meetings. At the end of each meeting we provide our attendance records for each workshop and scientific session to ABC, which maintains the status of continuing education credits for ABC-certified practitioners. For everyone else we will, upon request, provide a letter that attests to your registration, the total number of credits for the meeting and a breakdown of the credits by session.
As you may be aware, BOC practitioners in states with licensure are now eligible for membership in the Academy as Affiliate Members. For those members we now track their attendance at Academy education sessions (in greater detail). If you would like more information about becoming a member of the Academy I would encourage you to visit our website (www.oandp.org) or give me a call directly at 703-836-0788. I'd be happy to talk to you.

Ladies and Gentlemen
Is it just me or are others that live in states that have state licensure
having trouble getting some type of formal documentation of there continuing
education credits from the Academy? I have requested this several times in
the last several months and have only gotten double speak. In Washington we
are required to submit some form of documentation to be re-licensed. It
seems that this should be a minor thing for an organization who's primary
purpose it is to provide continuing education to its members.
