List members,

Thank you all for your offers of help regarding my previous inquiry, and
WOW! I've been amazed at the response. Problem solved, Larry will be
picking up his extra charging unit next week.

Again on the subject of the C-leg....does anyone have personal experience
with using this on a high level amputee, hip-disarticulation or
hempelvectomy? In your professional opinion, is the cost, tech problems,
maintenance of charging units and additional weight worth the advantages of
decreased energy expenditure, a safer and smoother gait? How difficult is
it to integrate this unit with the existing hip mechanisms currently
available and is it worth the time and trouble to both the Prosthetist and
the client? How can one maintain an acceptable cosmetic result to keep the
batteries charged? Is this a good choice for a high level amp?

I will be chairing the Hip-Disartic and Hemi presentation at the next ACA
convention and would appreciate your input to present to the other high
level amputees as well as for my own education. Thank you all for your
interest.

Sincerely yours,
Christina Skoski MD
