We're just back from our second visit to DC's Hospital for Sick
Children!

Everyone - and especially the children staying at the hospital - had a
great day of fun. It was gray and raining outside, but inside crayons,
paint, glitter, and games made for colorful creations and lots of smiles
and laughs.
This ongoing program - made possible through a partnership with the
Hospital Volunteer Program of the Morris Cafritz Center for Community
Service of the DC Jewish Community Center (DCJCC) - furthers OPAF's
mission to raise public awareness of the benefits that individuals with
physical disabilities receive from physical activity and assistive
technology.
Thanks very much to the Melissa Pasteris of the DCJCC for arranging our
visit and supplying the crafts! Thanks also to Robyn Winston, RT, of the
Hospital for Sick Children for introducing us to the kids and making
sure that everything ran smoothly during the course of the afternoon.
Look for more news about our hospital visits - and all other OPAF
programs - in upcoming issues of the O&P Almanac! And check our web site
again soon to see pictures of our Orlando and Houston Fitness for
Everyone clinics.
Thanks very much!
Best to everyone,
Jeff
