i recived a request fir a rhino hip abduction brace (or equal) for a
non-ambulatory 1 1/2 - 2 yr old child - the PT involved thinks that's
another term for a pavlik harness - i've never heard of it - any
thoughts on
what a rhino brace is ?

thanks in advance

heather

Its a semi-rigid plastic prefab Hip abduction Orthosis from Rhino Pedi
Ortho 800-829-112. I've used 2 when the Pavlik was not effective MD and I
were have with it try it.

Rhino is the company. Orthomerica sells them as well, I think they are
cheaper form Orthomerica. You can get them fixed or adjustable. Ask the
ortho doc what abduction position is needed/required.

You are looking for a Rhino Cruiser which is a pediatric hip
abduction orthosis. Use a search engine for Rhino Products.
