Recently I had a denial for mastectomy bras, but I understood that the term 2 per year referred to a calendar year. Now I have provided two sets of bras one set in October and the other in the end of January due to the fact that 2 bras in clearly not enough for an undergarment. I wanted to know if there are other facilities that have had this same thing happen and if they took any course of action? I know that diabetic shoes are one pair per calendar year, but now bras are a revolving year and when you question Medicaid about this we were told it is in your manual but where it is they cant say. And also when asked the definition of revolving year the Medicaid customer service rep had to put us on hold for 5 minutes to ask.
