Florida Contiuing Education?

I have a question that I hope someone can answer for me. I have
submitted my continuing education credits for Prosthetist and Orthotic Fitter
to the state of Florida per requested audit. Although I have sufficient
credits, I am now being told that I do not have enough in the discipline of
Orthotic Fitter. My understanding was that since ABC does not differentiate
orthotic to prosthetic credits that the State of Florida is not set up to do
this either. To my recollection Mr. Gallo was asked this question in
Hutchinson Island at the FAOP meeting and that was his response. Does anyone
know if this policy has been changed, and if so who decides what amount of
content a course has in each discipline. Simply had I submitted a letter from
the course sponsor without mentioning the full name of the course but, that
ABC had accredited it, I'm sure that it would have been accepted. I have seen
what ABC has supplied for their Practitioners for the annual meetings and it
mentions only that it is a technical workshop. These documents have been
accepted by the State of Florida without mentioning content.
One more thing, I attended the National in Dallas last year and
because of the way they had no sign in sheets (only scanners) I am being told
by AAOP that they did not track the practitioners that were not ABC and they
cannot produce any proof that I attended Workshops or symposiums. Does anyone
know any way around this? I am faced with not attending the best of the
conventions because they do me no good for state CEU's.
Thanks and I look forward to responses.
