Calling all Members of our O&P Community……Here’s your chance to share your knowledge. Do it for the people you serve, do it for your colleagues, do it for yourself!
The American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association is seeking presenters for its clinical and scientific sessions at the 2002 National Assembly in Chicago, Illinois (October 9-12). I am encouraging ListServe subscribers to share their expertise with colleagues throughout the O&P community by presenting a paper at the AOPA Assembly.
Your papers, based on sound research and strong empirical data, will set the stage in Chicago for a broad curriculum of clinical and scientific presentations.
Types of presentations AOPA is seeking:
a.. scientific papers based on sound research and supported by sound data;
b.. clinical papers based on case reports and outcomes;
c.. clinical papers based on anecdotal observations and opinions;
d.. clinical papers based on significant experience with a technique, component, or system;
e.. reports on new products, components or systems (no commercials please).
Presentations will be 15 and 30 minutes in length.
Becoming a presenter at the AOPA Assembly is not complicated: Please contact Tina Moran at <Email Address Redacted> or (571) 431-0876, ext. 208. She is happy to provide you with the application and answer any questions that you may have. Papers will be selected from among abstracts received by the AOPA Clinical Sessions Workgroup consisting of Carol Hentges, CO, James, Hughes, CP, and myself.
Note: Presenters will receive a minimum of a complimentary one-day Assembly registration (or equivalent credit towards a full registration) in recognition of their contribution.
Sincerely,
Lisa Schoonmaker, CPO, FAAOP
