To the Manufactures, my fellow practitioners and health care providers

We are fortunate to have wonderful experiences every day caring for patients.
But what I am about to mention makes me especially PROUD concerning the
tragedies of September 11 of last year.

When the first plane hit the World Trade Center. Mr. Curtis Grimsley was
located on the Seventy-fifth floor. Mr. Grimsley is a Transfemoral amputee.
This patient wears the Otto Bock C-LEG knee system. As I have been told he
has worn other artificial legs with different knees. Mr. Grimsley was able to
run step over step down the Seventy-five floors and run two blocks before the
first building horrifically came down. I have seen the New York local news
reports of this patient stating if it wasn't for the C-LEG he would have not
lived through this still horrible on going tragedy.

Understandably, if this patient had another knee good Americans and citizens
would have helped him. I have fit several C-Legs and believe this patient
would not have made it safely out of the falling building. Mr. Grimsley
stated and I believe this man would not be alive if it wasn't for the C-LEG.

Otto Bock, the entire staff and Otto Bock practitioners should be extremely
proud for developing this knee system. Otto Bock has in the past and today
enabled and enables me to hold my head even higher.

Thank You Otto Bock,,,,,,,,,,God Bless America!
