Hello. I am truly sorry for the suffering that your country, and its
citizens, are having to endure.  I am sure that there are a lot of innocent
people that the Taliban are hiding behind who become the unfortunate victims
of our bombings, but I can assure you that it is not the wish of any American
to inflict injuries on any of your people other than those who are
responsible for the attacks on the United States on September 11.  I make no
apology for our response and, in fact, wish we would be even more relentless
and more aggressive in our quest to annihilate Mr. Bin Ladin and the Taliban.
They are hate-filled, vicious and evil and serve no useful purpose in a
civilized world.  It is difficult to feel too much sympathy at the moment
because the attacks on the WTC, our Pentagon, the anthrax contaminations,
etc. are still very fresh in our minds.  This is a war.  Have people
forgotten that America has suffered civilian casualties?  Five to six
thousand of them?  Or that we did not iniate this conflict?
I wish I could help you as you are called to help those among your
countrymen who are injured in this war.  My heart is pained at the thought of
people who are very unexpectedly incapacitated by pain and injury.  Many will
never lead normal lives again.  Let's both hope for an early end to the
hostilities.  Until then , I wish you well.  Stay safe.
