URGENT–I MAY HAVE EMAILED A VIRUS I received this email today. The sender
had accidently forwarded a computer virus to me - I found it and I deleted
it. However, since I emailed all of you recently, I think you had best check
for it as well. It is easy to find and delete. The following info tells you
how to do it. Sorry,
Mary_________________________________________________This message is for
anyone I have e-mailed in the past few weeks. Icontracted a computer virus
that is not dected by Norton or McAfee.Thevirus supposedly is programmed to
activate after being on your C drivefor a while. Because of the delay in
activation, it does not get pickedup by anti-virus programs. No one knows how
long it has been on thesystem. It is possible it has been around several
months. When it doesactivate, it erases all files and folders on your hard
drive. t Thevirus gets spread when you send out e_mails and filters
intoC:\Windows\Command. In order to find this virus, follow
theseinstructions: click on start choose find choose files and
foldersselect find select C drive name of the file to search for
:SULFNBK.EXE If you find the file DO NOT OPEN IT select by RIGHT clickingon
your mouse and DELETE IT. THEN CLOSE THE WINDOW AND EMPTY YOURRECYCLE BIN the
good news is that YOU HAVE ELIMINATED THE VIRUS ON YOURCOMPUTER. The bad news
is that you have transmitted this virus to anyoneyou have sent email to in
the last month. Please contact everyone inyour address book and pass this
message along. Thanks and onceagain----SORRY
