Hi Robert -
I consider posting not a widening of the base but a reconfiguring of the
contact surface under the foot to optimize its load-bearing alignment.
About wedging, well, maybe, but what about shimming then? Doesn't that just
buttress or stabilize without necessarily changing the contacting angle?
We're looking for an official definition and honorable source for same......
