HELLO LIST

I' ve got an interesting patient and am seeking ideas to help him continue
his active lifestyle. He is semi-retired attorney with a diagnosis of
arthrogryposis. He is able to drive independently and ambulate short distances
using B-KAFO's and a crutch ; for longer distances he uses a 3-wheeler. He
has limitations to all of his extremities in their range of motion : 10 to
15 flexion of knees and hips ; with weak musculature. He has been using
kafo's with self locking joints and modified triggers (using a downward
motion - only strength motion available) to dis-engage the locks with shoulder
depression, elbows are at full extension with no motion.

HE has had an interesting idea to add a motion limiter to the knee joints so
he will be more secure if the locks disengage or don't drop correctly.

I have not found any motion limiters that are available for the auto locks
any ideas would be apreciated.

thanks

i am
