I have recently been presented with an article from a physician that suggests
that there is a 40% increase in energy consumption for ambulating with a BK
prosthesis. I have historically heard that number to be anywhere from 15% to
35%. I have done a search on O&P.com and did not get any results to my query
on previous studies. All the studies that I found were comparing the energy
expense between different foot ankle systems. Can anyone direct me toward
