Dear list members,
I use compressogrip shrinkers as a standard on all BK patients. My
dilemma is with the thunder thigh individuals with obese, triangular
shaped thighs. The compressogrip inevitably rolls above the patella,
creating a tourniquet around the fat thigh. A larger size shrinker
generally controls this, but then the distal residual is not adequately
compressed. Ace wrapping over the shrinker is rarely done correctly and
is nearly impossible for some.
I am wondering how others deal with this problem. Is there a better
solution for shrinker socks other than the compressogrip? Ace wrapping
is simply not an option. I've seen too many disasters from incorrect
wrapping- as I'm sure we all have- even with education.
Thanks in advance!
