Title:
bilateral AK spinal chord injury
Text:
I evaluated a twenty year old bilateral A/K with a T-11 spinal chord injury
today (zero hip flexion, extension, abduction or adduction.) Can anyone
offer any suggestions on a course of trtmnt. My plan at this is to fit her
with I.C. sockets with a waistbelt and pelvic bands with locking hip joints,
stubby length initially with the hope of manual locking knees eventually and
Seattle feet for a long keel. She (and her mother) are extremely motivated
and determined that she will be able to walk. Information on any prior
experiences is greatly appreciated.
