Hey Mark,
Here at Houston Shrine we have fit a couple ( very few when ratioed to our
total CP population) and have had very little success. The device as you
know is very simple to fit, but I agree totally with Ron Ramage that you
must be selective. As with any new device dealing with CP, the therepists
see the video and want every CP kid to have one.
        My question to CAMP has always been the risk of increasing tone for
the kid using it to control spastic adductors of the hip. We've seen no
carryover in improved gait patterns once the orthosis is removed. it does
improve sitting balance though. Throw the 895.00 cost, the fact that you
have to attend the CAMP course to have a sales rep teach you how to fit
it, and for us limited applications and ....there you have it. Steve
