Text:

This ban applies to the four S. California counties I mentioned before.

After Sept. 1, 2001, the exemption of a maximum of 55 gallons per year/per
facility of non-compliant adhesives, contact adhesives, special-purpose
contact adhesives can no longer be used.

Here are more exemptions in rule 1168 that I found. Some may apply to our
industry:

The rule outlawing the sale and use of high volatility chemicals is not
applicable if:
-the adhesive or sealant is sold in tubes of 8 oz or less or in any other
container of 5 liquid oz or less
-aerosol adhesives and primers
-adhesives used to apply flowers to parade floats (where'd that come from?)
-cyanoacrylate
-light curable adhesives
-solvent welding operations used in the manuf. of medical devices

If the adhesive was purchased prior to Sept. 1. 2000, a facility can use up
to one pint of total adhesives in one day at a facility.
