I posted this last week. Following the original post are the responses.

I have a patient who may be interested in a cosmetic prosthesis in the future instead of just a shoe filler (has a difference of 8 sizes between feet.) I have had relative success with Life-Like in the past, but would be interested in looking into other companies this time. I remember seeing a few other suppliers at the last meeting I attended, but can't remember who they were and I don't think I picked up info at that time. Any suggestions out there?
Also, I've only used Life-Like's custom prostheses. Any comment on their standard ones? Unpainted?

I have a client who just recently got a silicone, cosmetic partial foot
prosthesis from a company called Livingskin located in New York. The end
result I must say was amazing. The foot looks so life-like with veins,
skin lines, arcrylic nails (which can be painted) along with matching skin
tone. The prosthesis can be worn with sandals(even high-heeled and strappy
ones) and is water-proof. My client is very happy and claimed it has
changed her life in so many ways. If you would like any further
information or would like to speak to my client directly please contact me
at the above e-mail address.

I have used a LLL standard foot and it looked great. I prefer staying w/ LLL as I know what I'm getting. Highly recommend avoiding Realastic. They made a foot for me that had a Caucasian forefoot and Negroid ankle. They couldn't understand why I was upset. Good Luck.

Try Ronnie Graves at Prosthetic Research Specialists, Bushnell, Florida.

We at OPF (Orthotics & Prosthetics Fabrication) make partial feet utilizing a
rubberized skin (not silicone) we use a foot shell with toes so the size is
close and they slip into it like a swim fin.
In our patient care practice we use these all the time the patients love
them, they are not as detailed as the life like but they are only $550-& 600
instead of $ 3000.00.
If you need more info please call me Jan Saunders @ 866-649-3500. I have been
a practitioner for 28 years, last year purchased a central Fab.

I have used Livingskin* Aesthetic Concerns Prosthetics for some
cosmetic restorations and am extremely pleased. I have not done a foot,
but the fingers and the partial hands are phenomenal replications! It
is my opinion that when doing a cosmetic restoration, it is worth
spending a few more dollars and getting the best available product. I
cannot speak highly enough of Livingskin. Customer service is great,
quality is high and the end result is fantastic! It is also a fun
process working with the silicone impression foam. I felt like a kid
making mud pies! Gooey and gross and lots of fun. :-)

Alternative Prosthetic Services, Inc.
159 Kings Drive
Southport, CT 06490
Mike Curtin 203-256-9887
My daughter has used both silicon foot prosthetics and silicon covers for
traditional prosthetics, manufactured by Mike and his group. They have been
of the custon varietry, however, they offer generic work as well. The
quality of their work is excellent, probably better than what you are
accustomed to! Other practitioners who have seen the work marvel at it!
Give them a call.
