PROBELMS WITH PEDIATRIC UE PROSTHESIS

We recently fitted a two year old right below elbow male with a prosthesis
with a CAPP terminal. The CAPP has the light spring in it, and the terminal is
inside pull. The parents report that the child is having difficulty using his
prosthesis. We have met with the doctor and occupational therapist in this
case. The doctor feels that the best option for fitting this child is the CAPP
terminal but the parents feel that the CAPP is not the best option for the
child. The parents have also expressed their dislike of the CAPP because of
its appearance. In the past with our fittings of the CAPP we have not really
had the appearance issue come up. Do many parents object to the appearance of
the CAPP? Any suggestions in this case will be appreciated.
