I am getting ready to start on a set of liners for 9 yo congenital BKD. These will be used for running around on when he is not wearing his prostheses. He is large and overweight at about 150 lb. He is very functional without his prostheses walking on his residual limbs but they are getting abused on the end so a liner or padded device is desired. I would rather not make any elaborate stubby type device.
I want to use a set a liners (gel or otherwise) and use the locking receptacle on the liner to attach a pod or sole. I would consider using an LDPE cup a few inches deep with the sole attached but was hoping to use only liners and a padded base.
Any ideas, suggestions, or experiences with similar devices would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim Thelen
