Please help as I am drawing a blank--Ill give you all I have.
84 yocm, stroke 6-01,generalized weakness right upper and lower.
Constant pain right knee localized medially, knee buckles anteriorly,
some swelling present medially. Well healed surgical scar medially. Dr
has drawn fluid off knee-medially- 3 times. Again constant pain which
increases with weight-standing or labored ambulation. Dr states the
knee is showing improvement (patient disagrees) and that he has residual
tenderness (patient said the pain is almost unbearable). Dr states
patient has no instability (patient states knee buckles anteriorly).
Patient has full ROM but it is painful. I could detect no laxticity in
the joint except only slight with medially directed pressure from
lateral aspect.
Dr has requested a custom made knee brace to protect from re-injuring
the knee.
This is where you come in--I haven't a clue on this one. I took an
impression this afternoon (yea Jim Russ--you gotta love him). Dr wants
it fast--he left today for vacation and will be back the 13th.
Please give me some suggestions tonight and I'll get them in the morning
Reply to me and thanks
