I read the responses you received to your question. I did not read any
reference to the impact of the orthosis on balance. My experience has shown
me that the smallest change in positioning of the foot and ankle result in
a more than to be expected impact from the knee up. CMT patient due to the
lack of muscle strength and tone, developed compensatory gaits which may be
impacted heavily by an orthosis. That has been my biggest area of concern
for most of my adult patients. Good luck.
