Title:
HEADS UP, OHIO PRACTITIONERS!!!
Text:
It is imperative that all orthotic, prosthetic and pedorthic practitioners
in Ohio file a Licensure application by July 27, 2001. Having again
reviewed the law, anyone who applies by July 27 and is certified by ABC, BOC
or appropriate pedorthic group and can demonstrate appropriate experience as
mandated by law, (Ohio statute 4779) will NOT have to take a new state exam
to obtain
their license.
If you do not apply by July 27, even if you are certified, you will likely
be required to take another exam! Additionally, and perhaps more
importantly, it is possible that if you don't apply by July 27, you will be
forced to accept a temporary license and be required to practice under
the supervision of another licensed O&P professional until you meet the
qualifications for and receive your actual license.
There is no law requiring anyone to apply by July 27, 2001. However, not
doing so will likely subject you to Licensure delays and other problems.
Again, a word to the wise, get your application submitted prior to 7-27-01!
Applications can be downloaded from : <URL Redacted>.
There is a $125.00 application fee per licensee (not per discipline).
