Dear O & P List Members,
I am sorry. I am a physical therapy assistant and rehab engineering
technologist. I am involved in a polymer undergraduate research internship
this summer at the University of Southern Mississippi. I have a strong
interest in prosthetics and my project revolves around polymers used in the
prosthetic industry. Most of the staff/students here do not have a
background in prosthetics, so I am trying to give them an overall picture of
the evolution of prosthetics, causes of amputations, materials used in
prosthetics, and general cost of prosthetics, etc.
