Hi all
A colleague of mine is collecting info on the Overuse in the intact arm
in upper limb amputees can anyone out there assist?
It has been reported ! that more than 50% of upper limb amputees
complain of over use in their sound limb of varying degrees.
A literature search has revealed only one finding.
Is the over-use reported any greater for the uni-lateral amputee than
for a person with two intact limbs?
If there is such an incidence,
(1) what are the specific problems and
(2) which sites
(3) and what is the period between amputation and onset?
Thank you in advance
John
