Thankyou to all who responded!

Original post:
I have a studious client that is inquiring about inflatable socket designs. I have found the Pump It Up by Mr. Love and the Amputee Treatment Center but no others. Thankyou in advance for any information and/or advice on this subject.

Responses:
Try IPOS in Niagara falls for inflatable systems

David: I've used the Pneu Fit system with great success in two sockets for the same patient. He swears by it. Easy to retrofit. They advertise in major PO publications regularly. Call (501) 223-5365

call ipos, Niagara Fall, N.Y., at 1-800-345-5103. They have an excellent system called PVC (Pneumatic Volume Control). Also, try their website <URL Redacted> .

David,
Please look at the products that Silpos has. We have used a few and they
work quite well.

Dear Mr. Patridge:
ipos NA offers a Pneumatic Volume Control System which is directly
incorporated into the socket. The system consists of air bladders in
various shapes and sizes and a small pump that is permanently attached to
the socket and can be operated by the client. A few small strokes of the
pump fill the bladders with air. A small relieve button allows for easy air
removal.
The system is available for AK, BK, Knee-Dis. and Symes sockets and can be
retrofitted into existing sockets.
Volume-changes of up to 2 inches can be compensated if necessary.
visit website at
www.ipos-orthopedics.com or call at 1-800-626-2612.

Hi David
The problem with bladders and inflatable sockets is that balloons are not
square. So the pressure will not go into the right area. Taxpayers paid
almost 300,000.00 for that information.

Otto Bock and IPOS were selling add-on pneumatic units a few years ago. Aircast makes a pneumatic transtibial IPOP.

I saw a similar pre packaged three bladder system offered by Ipos Orthopedic
industries. 1-800-345-5103 pneumatic volume control systems for AK's &
BK's also symes at the AAOP convention in Dallas.

Again, Thankyou all.
