Hi all!
I am an Australian P&O, currently working in Japan
for Otto Bock. (long story)
I have just been posed a very interesting question,
which I now pass on to you all. We have been asked by
a patient with a Brachial Plexus injury wether he can
use some form of orthosis/prosthesis which utilises
myoelectric control. He has shoulder elevation and
depression and some humeral flexion and extension.
My initial response is that it is possible, but I am
wondering just how practical it will be.
Anyone out there have any experience or ideas?
Thanks in advance.
-Aaron Williams.
