The Barr Foundation and the (UASA) United Amputee Services Association is attempting to locate a qualified prosthetist or amputee assistance organization in San Jose Costa Rica . The applicant seeking assistance, whom lives in San Jose, was beaten and robbed 3 weeks ago and is in need of a partial arm prosthetic device. The amputation was necessary as the result of the trauma.

He is healthy 31 male whom is an above elbow arm amputee with about six inches of residual limb below the shoulder.
The (BUAAF) Barr United Amputee Assistance Fund will compensate and donate prosthetic components for the sponsoring practitioner or organization once the applicant has been properly evaluated.

If the applicant could require USA assistance he could possibly obtain an medical visa and come to this country for prosthetic rehabilitation. He has family in the area of Nashville,Tennessee.

We would also ask any prosthetist located in the area of Nashville to respond if he would be willing evaluate and possibly sponsor the applicant if he was able to come here.

Thank You,
