Here at ASU we ave developed a few prototypes of above elbow prosthetic
devices that will be suitable for use in third world countries. These
devices are not meant to be replacements of current technology, but we feel
they are adequate inexpensive substitutions for persons waiting to receive
prostheses. These arms were built for under $35(US).
Information on this project can be found at www.public.asu.edu/~jimegan
Please respond to this e-mail with any comments or feedback. If anyone is
in a position to try these arms in practice, please e-mail with any details
and feedback.
Thank You in Advance
