Is recruiting a new Principal.
The project.
The CSPO, in Phnom Penh Cambodia is an ISPO accredited Category II
facility training Cambodian and International students in Prosthetics and
Orthotics. The three-year course was first set up in 1994 at the custom
built centre on the grounds of Cambodia's teaching Hospital, Calmette.
The applicant.
The school is looking for a dedicated and experienced P&O professional
with a recognized Category I qualification in both disciplines. The
successful applicant will ideally have:
Experience in education.
Development experience,
Management at a senior level,
An understanding of ISO quality systems
Publications in the field of P&O.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent written and spoken English
An interest in research.
The position
Based in Phnom Penh, the Principal heads a team of four expatriate
lecturers, two Cambodian Assistants and experienced local staff.
The Principal will be responsible to the Board of Studies for the quality of
the course and the Board of Governors for the fabric and finance of the
project. He/she will be expected to maintain and develop the school
through the work of the two Boards.
He/she will be accountable to and supported by the Cambodia Trust
Country Director, the lead agency and responsible party for the
institution.
This is a (minimum) 2 year contract which offers a competitive salary and
benefits package.

The Cambodia Trust Rehabilitation Project.
Is recruiting a new
Rehabilitation Project Manager.
The Project
The Cambodia Trust is responsible for three rehabilitation centres in
Cambodia.
These are at Kompong Som (coast of the Bay of Thailand), Kompong Chhnang
(centre
of the country) and in Phnom Penh at the Cambodia School of Prosthetics and
Orthotics (CSPO). The projects deliver Prosthetic and Orthotic services,
physiotherapy, outreach and community follow up.
The project is currently undergoing ISO 9000-2000 (formerly 9002)
accreditation.
All service delivery is conducted by an experienced Cambodian team.
The applicant.
The project is seeking a dedicated rehabilitation professional with a
recognized
qualification in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Rehab Medicine, or
Prosthetics and Orthotics. In addition the applicant should ideally have:
Experience in Low income countries
Management experience
An understanding of ISO and quality management systems.
Have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Enjoy working in cross cultural situations
Have good written and spoken English
The position
The manager will work closely with the CSPO in Phnom Penh, but will have
overall
responsibility for the two provincial clinics. He/she will be accountable
to the
Cambodia Trust Country Director.
The manager will be responsible for the continued high quality service
delivery, staff
development, mentoring and service development in line with the Cambodia
Trust
objectives.
Considerable time will be spent in the provincial clinics, requiring
overnight absence
from Phnom Penh.
Some time will be spent working on the various technical committees of the
Disability Action Council, a coordinating and planning authority set up by
the Royal
Government to develop services to the disabled.
