The Barr Foundation and United Amputee Services Association would like to
acknowledge the generosity of Daniel J. Zenas CP and Hanger Prosthetics and
Orthotics of Tucker Georgia for the recent sponsorship of Ms. Panudda
Kanchanakomtorn, born in Clayton, Georgia in 1976. The (BUAAF) Barr United
Amputee Assistance Fund recipient is a graduate student of the University of
Oklahoma. In December 1999 Panudda was awarded the honor of best student of
the year of the Industrial Engineering School of the university. She lost
her leg below the knee due to cancer while studying for a Master Degree in
Industrial Engineering.
The Fund has provided prosthetic rehabilitation to over 500 BUAAF
recipients whom had no other sources of funding. Without the participation
of professional and manufacturer sponsors this could not be possible.
Some 90 certified or licensed prosthetists from 39 states in the USA and
several developing nations abroad have participated in the BUAAF program to
date. See www.oandp.com/barr for a list of sponsors and recipient
testimonials.
I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you all for your
humanitarian role in helping us assist deserving individuals in becoming
whole again. If you have interest in sponsoring such an individual whom has
no other sources of funding, please contact the UASA office in Orlando at
407-678-2920 or e-mail <Email Address Redacted> for an BUAAF application.
